Broken———————–

Capture the universal experiences of pain, healing, and resilience. They remind us that adversity is a shared human condition.

Hi readers!

There is a place on this planet Earth:

Where a country with a parliamentary democracy is continuously being blackmailed by parliamentarians, especially at times of crucial voting,

Where land, water, and ores comprising minerals, rocks, metals, elements, and aggregates of a country are considered a dowry,

Where extreme inequality starkly divides a tiny, wealthy ruling elite and a large, impoverished working class, often under the influence of foreign powers acting through proxies (like we have been hearing about TTP, BLA, and their allies),

Where the economy relies almost entirely on exporting a couple of raw commodities,

Where the government is usually unstable, corrupt, and beholden to foreign business interests,

Where the country is operated as a private commercial enterprise for the exclusive profit of the ruling class,

Where large working class is darkly shadowed by plutocracy and extremely layered social classes,

Plutocracy is a society or system of government in which the political and economic power is concentrated in the hands of a small, distinct group of people

Where financial capital rather than democratic consensus or merit dictates political and societal outcomes,

Where the ruling class controls the primary sector of the economy by exploiting labour with the connivance of the state and favoured economic monopolies (cartels), in which the profit derived from the private exploitation of public lands is private property, and the debts incurred thereby are the financial responsibility of the public treasury,

Where public money is treated like an inherited share which can be used as, when, where, and in whatever selected way,

Where everything is disapproved by the public, as all the indicators signifying political and economic power concentrated in the hands of a small, distinct group of people,

Where an imbalanced economy remains limited by the uneven economic development of towns and countries, which usually reduces the national currency into devalued banknotes, thereby rendering the country ineligible for international development credit,

Where countries must beg for dollars to be deposited in the national exchequer to obtain that development credit,

Where grown up girls and young women runs on the highways and streets to beg for rupees 5-10-100 which these females can easily get from young males driving expensive cars on the busy roads and their parents sit in the comfort zones along sides busy roads drowsed in drugs (available easily at every nook and corner of the country) waiting for the sun set when they collect their women to go home and cycle goes on.

Dear readers, whom do you think I am talking about?

Pakistan? Oh no. Dare not.

I am rather talking about a “living hell”—I mean, a banana republic. If anything resembles Pakistan, it will perhaps be done away with in the 28th Constitutional Amendment. For example,

Parliamentary democracy will be replaced strictly with presidential democracy, in which only young, educated, cultured, and visionary people will be selected as members of parliament, and they will be thrown out immediately if they dare blackmailing the government, as all the corrupt will be strictly punished after fair trials,

All the departments of the government will be overhauled completely to get rid of the corrupt, criminals, cartelizers, gangsters, and those guilty of moral and financially turpitude, liars, cheaters, and deceivers,

Health will be the responsibility of the federal government, which will restore and upgrade all rural tehsil, district and divisional hospitals,

No Minister will be given licences to open universities as education business has already flourished beyond its limits. Only the sub-campuses of reputable international universities, with international teaching staff and state-of-the-art curricula, will be opened.

Cadet schools will open to enrol by law: the begging children who will get quality and technical education as per their talent while their parent will be deputed to clean the canals and water channels so that the water can flow smoothly without interruption, they will only be allowed to meet their children during festive holidays.

مشکل نہیں ہے کچھ بھی اگر ٹھان لیجئے

All the resources of the country will belong to the state, which will have the exclusive right to use them as, when, where, and in whatever way it deems fit; they will not be considered “dowry” items (profit-sharing is inevitable),

All the neglected areas will be brought under state control to bring them at par with others, at the expense deducted from the respective NFC award,

All the NFC awards will provide proportionate share in debt financing and defence expenditures,

No new provinces will be created (the country is already under the unbearable burden of maintaining a huge bureaucracy). Rather, the local government system will be strictly enforced,

Money allocated to each entity will be distributed against budgeted expenditure statements, binding on all the provinces, with strict audits binding on the state,

All surplus, unspent money will be constitutionally returned to the national exchequer; else, it would be deducted from the respective NFC award,

Oh! God damn it. What was that blast that awakened me? I was in heaven, having a beautiful dream as:

یوں نہ تھا میں نے فقط چاہا تھا یوں ہو جائے

But. that dream is now broken——————-

See you next time. Take care. Bye.
